The Big Fish Film School was a film and television training institution in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Founded in Johannesburg as a non-profit organization in 2007 by Melanie Chait, supported by the European Union and the national and provincial governments. In 2011 another campus was opened and in 2017 the entire school was moved to Cape Town. It closed its doors at the end of 2019, having trained more than 2000 students over the intervening period, of whom about 80% ended up in the film industry.
