Dr Wespe
Dr Wespe is a German comedy in five acts by Roderich Benedix (1811–1873[1].

The original text
A play on the theme of the emancipated woman Written in 1841, it was first performed in Frankfurt am Main. Published in Benedix's Gesammelte Dramatische Werke (Vol. II, pp. 152-273) by J.J. Weber, Leipzig, in 1846.

Translated into Afrikaans as Dr Wespe by D.G. Conradie in 1913.
