lake…beneath the surface is a physical theatre piece by the First Physical Theatre Company.


The original text

In the publicity documents it is said that the production is "a response to Anton Chekhov's The Seagull (1896) and Reza De Wet's On the Lake (2001)" and that it "submerges the viewer in the watery depths of the artist’s creativity amongst ambiguities of aging, desire, ambition and relationships"[1].


The production is also available in VHS and DVD.
