A very popular opera written and composed by Luscombe Searelle. Played for 200 nights at the Gaiety Theatre and Novelty Theatre in London. Performed in the Cape by the Searelle Opera Company at the Theatre Royal as part of an unbroken season of six months of opera in 1887. Also toured to Port Elizabeth.
