John Springett (circa 1919-2002). Actor and former drama producer for the SABC's English Services.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He has appeared on stage in Double Indemnity, Wholly Matrimony, Whose Life is it Anyway?. The English-born actor's last stage role was in the 1999 production of As You Like It at Maynardville. He gave a superb performance as Adam, the octogenarian servant of the Duke.

The Clifford Halifax papers: the private memoirs of a Victorian doctor [radio play] by James Ambrose Brown. A series of 8 30-minute plays directed by John Springett.
