Miskend ("misunderstood") is a Dutch dramatic sketch in 3 parts by P.C.J. Meys (1830-1915)[1].

The original text

Described as a "Dramatsche Schets voor rederijkers. In drie afdeelingen", it was specially written for the Rederijkerskamer Erica in the town of Meppel and basically tells the story of the prodigal son who returns home, incognito and wealthy, from a life in exile to save the family from ruin and reclaiming his lost love. The text was published in Meppel by H. Ten Brink in 1868.
