AMFEST ONE-ACT PLAY FESTIVAL. Founded in 1981 as a project by the Johannesburg Junior Chamber of Commerce. In total, ten prizes were awarded at each festival, and the festival became the biggest festival for adult dramatic companies in the Pretoria-Witwatersrand-Vereeniging area. *** (See Gosher, 1988) [JH]
