A melodrama, adapted from the French by H. M'Pherson. First performed in English in Newcastle-on-Tyne Amphitheatre, May 1 1799(??)

Performance history in South Africa

Performed in Cape Town on Thursday 26 July 1855 by Sefton Parry as part of his farewell performance, alongside A Phenomenon in a Smock Frock (Brough) and The Lottery Ticket (Beazley).
