Miles Gloriosus ("The Swaggering Soldier" or "Vainglorious Soldier") is a Latin comedy by Plautus (c. 254–184 B.C.)[1].

Original text

Based on the stock character "Alazon" ("The braggart" - written ἀλαζών in Ancient Greek)[2], a from Greek theatre. It was written in and is one of the earliest Latin literary works to have survived in its entirety.
