Monet, Directeur de l'Opéra-Comique is a comedy in one act by Pierre-Yon Barré, Jean-Baptiste Radet and François-Georges Desfontaines.


The original text

First performed at the Théâtre du Vaudeville, Paris, in 1802 and published in Paris by Barba in 1802.

Performance history in South Africa

1803: Possibly performed as Le Directeur se Comedie by Monsieur Delemery and members of the French company in the African Theatre, Cape Town on 29 October, 1803, with Pigmalion (Rousseau).
