A farce in two acts by John O'Keeffe (1747-1833).
Full title: The Farce of the Modern Antiques, or The Merry Mourners.
First performed at the Theatre Royal, Smoke Alley 1792(?), and published in Dublin 1792.
Performance history in South Africa
First performed in Cape Town by the English Theatricals amateur company in the Cape Town Theatre (i.e. the African Theatre), on 3 May 1823, alongside Ways and Means (Colman Jr).
Repeated by the English Theatricals on 9 August 1823, alongside The Honey Moon (Tobin)
