Biography
She was married to Ken Marshall.
Youth
She was educated in India, England and what was then Rhodesia.
Training
Clare studied drama and singing in the UK where she also made her her stage debut.
Career
She became well known for her work on stage, television and radio in Rhodesia. In 1974 she moved to Johannesburg.

Performed in The Merchant of Venice (as “Nerissa”), Gypsy (as “Tessie Tura”), The Norman Conquests (as “Annie”), Bedfull of Foreigners (as “Simone”), Blithe Spirit (as “Ruth” for PACT), A Tribute to Lili Lamont (as “Lili Lamaont” for PACT), Hay Fever (as “Judith Bliss” with CAPAB), On Golden Pond (as “Chelsea” at the Academy Theatre), Fourth love (as “Myra” at the Academy Theatre), For Love or Money (as “Stella” at the Academy Theatre)
Starred in the Academy Productions production of Ernest Thomson’s On Golden Pond, also starring Margo Johns, Clifford Mollison and Robin Dolton and directed by Rex Garner in 1979. She starred in Pieter Toerien’s production of Michael Frayn’s Noises Off together with Joy Stewart Spence, Eckard Rabe, Rex Garner, Ralph Lawson and Kenneth Baker at the Andre Huguenet in 1983. It returned later that same year for another run. She starred in Grease at the Alexander in 1992.
