A 1966 Broadway musical with music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields and book by Neil Simon. [1]

It is based on Federico Fellini's screenplay for the 1957 Italian film Le notti di Cabiria (English: Nights of Cabiria).

Performance history in South Africa

1989: NAPAC staged Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd, Leonard Bernstein’s Candide and Sweet Charity, collectively marked as The Trilogy directed by Harold Prince [2], with Angela Lansbury [3] in the cast at The Drama, Natal Playhouse, Durban, from 7 July - 20 August 1989.

2003: Staged by the Port Elizabeth Gilbert & Sullivan Society in 2003.
