Performance history in South Africa
1970: The Afrikaans translation, Houtjie van die Galg, was staged by PACOFS, directed by Gerrit Geertsema, with Lorraine Fourie (Deenie), Will Bernard (Leon Paulsen), Annie Basson (Belinda), Louise Mollett (Besoeker), Johan Botha (Hugo Cornelissen), Jan Prinsloo (Kapt. de Bruyn) and George Barnes (Sers. Pretorius).
