André Roothman
Teacher, actor on stage, TV and film. **** Teacher of drama at the Cloetesville Secondary School and ran their Drama Group till 1983*?. Also acted for Ben Dehaeck and the Klein Libertas Teater. In 1983 became a professional actor, and starred in numerous plays (e.g. as Provost in Measure for Measure, Maynardville (1987)), TV series and films.

Andre has, however, always felt at home on our stages which serve the immediate needs of our country's transformation.'
He graduated from the University of Stellenbosch with a BA degree in 1978. He was a teacher in Cape Town until he joined CAPAB in 1983. Acted in Falstaff, The Gingerbread man, Die Wildsboudjie.
