(19**-) Actor for stage, television and film, director, scriptwriter and lecturer. Also known as Abduragmaan Adams. Raised in Cape Town, first trained and worked as a nurse, before studying for a B.Dram degree at the at the Drama Department, University of Stellenbosch, where he became a lecturer in 199*-2003. As director best known for his production of the hugely popularSkrêmbuild Eggs vir Nasiebrou [lit something like Scram-build eggs for nation cooking, a satrical prose and verse programme utilizing Afrikaans writing in all the dialects and forms available. A commissioned work for the Kleinkaroo Nasionale Kunstefees at Oudtshoorn 1999-2000. In 2003 he left teaching to follow a free-lance career. ** Returned to University teaching at Stellenbosch in 2010. Among his most notable performances have been the lead in Brecht's Baal in the Brecht Centenary year for the University of Stellenbosch, a version of A Report to the Academy (**) Grahamstown Festival 1999?), Roadkill/Padkos (Malan Steyn) and Rooikôppetjie **?? (Spier, 2001), Naelstring / Honour thy mother, Fuck thy Father (Pieter Fourie, KKNK Oudtshoorn/ Grahamstown Festival, 2001), Bok-bok staan styf (Malan Steyn, KKNK, 2002), *** Amadeus (Baxter, 2006), Gideon van Eeden’s Boetman is Bedônit (KKNK and Aardklop, 2007) ** .
