Published in Volume 2 of Gezellige schouwburg, of Verzameling van tooneel- en blyspelen (Leipzig:Stage, 1803).

Translations and adaptations

Translated into Dutch as Het Glas Water, a comedy in two acts, and published in Amsterdam by Jan Dóll, 1802. (Not to be confused with Het Glas Water, of Die Uitwerkingen en De Beweegredenen, a Dutch translation of Eugene Scribe's 1840 five-act comedy, Le Verre d’Eau. Les Effets et Les Causes.)

Performance history in South Africa

1826: Performed in Dutch on 28 October, 1826 by Door Yver Vruchtbaar, with De Broeders ("The Brothers") (Von Kotzebue).
