Les deux Avares

("The Two Misers") An "opéra bouffon" or comic opera in two acts. The libretto written Fenouillot de Falbaire (Charles-Georges Fenouillot de Falbaire de Quingey) and music by André Grétry (1770).

Performed with success in 1770 at Fontainebleau and in Paris.

1809 Produced in the original French by the local French amateurs, , on 25 March, 1809, with Les deux Avares Fenouillot de Falbaire) as afterpiece.
