The Woods
The Woods (1977) by American playwright David Mamet (born 1947). The play is about a couple, Nick and Ruth, spending a night at a house in the country. They push their relationship to the breaking point in a night of stories and fights, only to rediscover their need for one another in the morning.
Performance history in South Africa
Presented by CAPAB in a double bill with Bremen Coffee at the Nico Arena, May 1985. Directed by Russel Savadier, design by Dicky Longhurst, music by David Nissen and lighting by Pieter de Swardt. Terry Greyvenstein played Ruth and Mark Graham Nick.
