A musical play about four singers who work in a group, performing music that ranges from reggae to North African kwasa-kwasa to a local brew of mbaqanga, gospel and Afro-pop.
Performance history in South Africa
Premièred at the Grahamstown Festival 1997, staged by the North West Arts Council and directed by Aubrey Sekhabi, with an all-female cast including Consolation Ntulwana, Wendy Sekupha and S’lindile Nodangale, with choreography by Ellington Mazibuko, lighting design by Dennis Hutchinson and set design by Nadia Cohen.
