A play by Ugo Betti. Original Italian title Il paese delle vacanze ("country holidays"). Written in 1937

Full English title Summertime - An idyll in three acts. Translated into Afrikaans as Skrikkeljaar – 'n Idille in drie bedrywe by Alewyn Lee (published by DALRO, 1968).

The Afrikaans translation by Alewyn Lee produced in Afrikaans as Skrikkeljaar in 1958 by NTO. Performers: Berdine Grünewald, Eghard van der Hoven, Gerrit Wessels, Mathilde Hanekom, Sann de Lange, Reenen van Niekerk, Salie Vermaak, Louisa Aucamp. Directed by Robert Mohr, costumes by Doreen Graves and décor by Frank Graves.
