The Brigand
by James Robinson Planché. A romantic drama in two acts. First performed at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane on 18 November 1829.
Performance history in South Africa
Performed by All the World's a Stage on Thursday 9 July , 1846 in the Hope Street Theatre, followed by A Day After the Fair (Somerset).
Possibly to have been performed on 11 July 1854 by Garrison Players in 1854, to be followed by A Peculiar Position. Apparently this did not take place due to the illness of the stage manager, but was probably done some time later.
