John Grulsbone (17**- 18**) was a Cape Town businessman and one of the original 24 shareholders, to whom a section of the Boereplein was donated for the building of a theatre. This became The African Theatre. (Bosman, 1928[1] expresses some doubt about the spelling of the surname.)
