TIP-ex is a play by Lauren Hannie

The original text

A play about "corrective rape" and growing up in a family that prizes conformity about all else. It details a young girl’s discovery of her sexual orientation, the casual cruelty of childhood bullies and the family perpetrators protected by the secret covenant of respectability.

The piece won the awards for Best Production and Best Script at the 2016 Baxter Zabalaza Theatre Festival, and the text was published by Junkets Publisher in 2017

Performance history in South Africa

2016: First performed at the 2016 Zabalaza Theatre Festival, directed by Lauren Hannie, with Lauren Hannie, Melissa Johannisen and Maxine Caesar, music by Dominique Domingo.

2016: Performed at the Baxter Theatre Centre in 12-23 April as part of the Best of the Zabalaza Theatre Festival.
