F.I.J. van Rensburg (1922 - 2015) was an Afrikaans academic and literary critic.

Biography
Born Francois Izak Janse van Rensburg on 18 Januarie 1922.
Began his career as a lecturer at the University of the Orange Free State, then was appointed professor and head of the Department of Afrikaan and Dutch at the Rand Afrikaans University.
He passed away on 10 Januarie 2015.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
The author of numerous articles, essays, reviews and books on Afrikaans literature, including a number of plays and playwrights, among them Anthony Delius, Uys Krige, N.P. van Wyk Louw, .
