The original text
Delirium seeks to highlight the destructive and indefensible nature of wars provoked by ethnic differences and is set in a ramshackle house that is abruptly split in two when peace is declared. A new border is now drawn between two warring countries - the border running through the marital bed, with the husband on one side and his wife on the other - and a guard post erected behind the bed to make sure there will be no cross-border copulation.

Performance history in South Africa
2012: The World Premiere of the play opened at The Market Theatre at the end of August, playing till 20 September. Directed by Greg Homann with David Dennis, Fiona Ramsay, Fezile Mpela. Set and lighting by Denis Hutchinson, costumes by Jemma Kahn, sound design by Mark Malherbe. Funded by the Ford Foundation, New York.
2012: Performed at the Hilton Arts Festival in KwaZulu Natal on 22 and 23 September.
