Thespian is a comedy by Emily Tseu (1972-).

A semi-autobiographical look at three budding young actors trying to make it in Johannesburg and wondering whether there is real artistic life outside of soap opera in South Africa.

2002: First staged at the Barney Simon Young Writers' Festival at the Market Theatre, directed by Martin Koboekae, with Bhayo Jwayi (Lesego), Ferry Jele (Nomahulbi), and Tebogo Hamlet Maboa (Jeffrey).
