The film
Based on the eponymous novel by C.M. van den Heever and adapted as a screenplay by André P. Brink, the film was directed by Sias Odendaal with Anneline Kriel, DeWet Van Rooyen, Will Roberts, Babs Laker, Fanie Bekker, Cornelis Esterhuyse, Danie Smuts, Isobel Pienaar, Annie Basson, Chris Fourie, Manie Botha, Gabriel Bayman and Jacques Loots.
