The original text
The story of a down-and-out musician, living in a Soweto shack, who has his spirit rekindled by the infectious optimism of his adoring young nephew from the country. The uncle and the nephew were human.
Starbrites was voted Production of The Year of A New South African Play by the Vita Awards panel.

1990: First performed at the Market Theatre starring Fats Dibeco and Arthur Molepo and Doreen Mazibuko
1990: Toured to summer festivals in London and the United Kingdom, Dublin in the Republic of Ireland and Copenhagen in Denmark.
