Peter Kleinschmidt [1] (1940-) is an influential and controversial director.
Biography
Born in Germany, he was brought to South Africa in 1962 by Donald Inskip to work with the Department of Speech and Drama at the University of Cape Town.
Productions in South Africa
His first production was Ionesco's Rhinoceros with the students of UCT at the Little Theatre in 1963. He directed The Birds at the Little Theatre in August 1965 and Ubu Roi in August 1967.
