Kan Jy die Maan en die Sterre Hoor? ("Can you hear the moon and the stars?") is an Afrikaans play by Hennie Aucamp (1934-2014).

The original text
The text, collated and written by Hennie Aucamp in 2002, celebrates the life and value systems of the Bushman people (aka San) and is based on the writings of a a number of Afrikaans writers, celebrating the Bushmen in South Africa. The authors included by Aucamp are G.R. von Wielligh, Eugène Marais, P.J. Schoeman, Uys Krige, Antjie Krog and Coral Fourie. Music composed by Peter Louis van Dijk
The play does not seem to have been published. A copy of the typed text is held in the archives of the Drama Department at the University of Stellenbosch.
The title of the text was later adapted to Kan jy die musiek van die maan en die sterre nie hoor nie? ("Can you not hear the moon and the stars?") and used as the title of the painting by Peter Webber used as illustration the cover of Aucamp's 2011 poetry collection, Ghoera.[1]
