Cliff Bestall

Cliff Bestall (19**-) is a Cape Town based designer, director and cinematographer

Also credited as Clifford Bestall.

Biography

He attended Jeppe High School (1958-1968), then obtained a Diploma in Graphic Design and Art, Design and printmaking from the Durban University of Technology (1966 - 1968).

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Theatre work:

Along with Adrian Kohler he did the design for Tsafendas which was staged at The Space in 1976.

Film work:

This has included Passing the Message (1981), , Djadje – Last Night I Fell Off a Horse (1993), Witness Hillbrow: Between Heaven and Hell (2012), and Sinner (2016).
