Biography
Born in London where she attended a convent school until she was 16 years of age. She was thereafter taken to Australia, and thence journeyed to South Africa, to begin a theatrical career with Leonard Rayne, playing children's and soubrette roles in a number of plays. parts. Then she joined Kate Vaughan and was later associated with the companies of George Edwardes in London and performing there and in various parts of the empire.
