First performed at the Royal Strand Theatre, London, on 10 January, 1864 and published in Lacy's acting plays, vol. 61.

Performance history in South Africa

1867: Performed by "Le Roy's Original Company" in the Theatre Royal, Cape Town on 25 March, with Municipal Muddles, or Love in the Dark (Utting).
