Imfuduso

by the Women of Crossroads. An improvised performance on the lives of women from the Transkei and Ciskei, living in the informal settlements around Cape Town. Created by the women from the Crossroads squatter community with Daisy Bara, Alexandria Luke, Siphokazi Luke, Elizabeth Lutango, Eslina Mapisa, Nomzamo Mathwethu, Muriel Mbobosi, Adelaide Mene, Mrs Mgodjo, Victoria Mkhonidweni, Mrs Nokilana, Regina Ntongana, Lilian Peters and Jane Yanta. Six performances of this production were staged at The Space (Cape Town) in 1978. Lighting by Faruk Hoosain.
