Rehearsal in Progress is a play by Brendan Butler

The original text

According to Neil McCarthy, this is a play about being a parabat during the border war.

The text received a Special Merit Award in the the Amstel Playwright of the Year[1] competition of 1983.

Translations and adaptations

Though there is no record of the play being produced, the text would provide the initial seeds for the Barney Simon workshop production of Black Dog-Inj'emnyama!, and particularly the character "Raymond" in it.
