Mr Norton
Two performers by this name seem to have performed in South Africa.
Mr Norton]] (fl 1840s)
He was an actor and member of All the World's a Stage. Acted as one of the stewards for the Roeland Street Theatre, inter alia for a production of Charles XII and The Irish Tutor on 22 August, 1845.
Mr Norton (fl 1860s)
He was a singer and actor, and member of the "original" Christy Minstrels that visited South Africa in 1862. He was apparently one of two members who performed in blackface.
