Bench Buyile Mkonto (19*-). Playwright and author of short stories and novels in isiXhosa.

Author of the Xhosa plays Inzonzobila (1988), Emgxobhozweni (1993) and A-a-a! Jongumsobomvu! (1998).

He also writes literary criticism.
