Nothing is known of the play or the author, but a performance of a dramatic sketch by this name, performed with "Genraalsvrouwtje" (probably Het Generaalsvrouwtje by Henri t'Sas), is recorded by the Rederijkerskamer 'Nut en Genoegen' te Holwierde on 14 January, 1921.

1908: Performed in Dutch as Jean Marie by Onze Taal in the Empress Theatre, Pretoria, on 18 June, with De Boezemvriend(Praga) and Voor het Diner (Mev. Simons-Mees).
