(1959-) IT specialist in J.S. Gericke Library, Stellenbosch University. Studied at Pretoria Technikon, Durban Technikon,Cape Town Technikon.

Married to Donna Newey (divorced in 2000), and they have three children, Kirstin Mackrill, Amber Gibson, Heather Gibson.

He developed the platform and was from its inception the Wiki System Administrator for ESAT.
