Marlene Blom (1963-1996). Choreographer and director.

Biography

She was married to playwright Charles J. Fourie. She died tragically in a car accident in 1996 at the age of 33.

Training

She studied at the University of Cape Town in the early 1980s.

Career

Worked for CAPAB.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Works include People Say that Steven Weed… (CAPAB in association with Community Arts Project 198?*), The Hunting of the Snark (CAPAB, 1991).

She produced the dance productions Exhibition, in 3 Pieces (Market Theatre and Pohim (NAPAC).
