Cape Monitor

The Cape Monitor was a Cape Town newspaper, set up by the conservative faction in Cape Town in October, 1850, backed by a number of wealthy merchants and other influential figures.

Edited by Richard William Murray[1] from 1854 till its demise in 1862.
