Brother of Vivian Braaf.
Training
He studied at the University of the Western Cape.
Career
While at university he became involved in amateur theatre in 1973, as a member of DRAMSOC. Later he was one of the founder members of the Cape Flats Players and from 1978-19* leader of the society. As an actor most often played the lead in their plays, as well as some professional work with members of the company.
In 2001 he became a lecturer in drama at the *** College, Kimberley
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Directed many plays for the Cape Flats Players.
He wrote Asseblief Miesies ("Please Missus" - performed at the Kellerprinz-Drama Festival in 1982 by the Cape Flats Players, winning a grant from the Department of Coloured Affairs for it). Created Senzinina with the Cape Flats Players (19*), performed in Aluta Continua. He was compiler and performer (with his wife) of What about de lô? ( a programme of poetry and songs based on the works of Adam Small).
He was an adjudicator for the student drama competition, National Arts Festival, 1988.
On television he was seen in Halfmansput.
