Teasle is the name given to a play which, according to Lady Anne Barnard (as cited by F.C.L. Bosman, 1928[1], p.61), was performed in the Military Hospital, Cape Town in 1800. This is clearly a reference to Taste by Samuel Foote and is based on the leading character she refers to as "Lady Bentweazle".
