Hinterland is a play by Duncan Buwalda.

The original text

Set in Kimberley in 1899, it is a play that explores a variety of themes in an imagined relationship between Cecil John Rhodes and a young Sol T. Plaatjie when Plaatje takes a job as the ailing mining magnate's typist during the Siege of Kimberley in 1899.
