Kiss of the Spiderwoman (Spanish: El beso de la mujer araña) [1] is a 1983 stage adaptation by Argentine author Manuel Puig (1932-1990) [2] of his novel of the same name. English translation by Alan Baker.

The original text
Kiss of the Spider Woman is a 1976 novel. It depicts the daily conversations between two cellmates in an Argentine prison, Molina and Valentín, and the intimate bond they form in the process. (Wikipedia [3])
