The Fashionable Lover is a comedy by Richard Cumberland (1732 – 1811)[1].


The original text

A sentimental comedy about the adventures of a young ward fleeing the attentions of a villainous Lord, it was first performed at the Drury Lane Theatre, London in January 1772, and published by W.Griffin in the same year.
