D. Disant (17**-18**) was a Capetonian, and an amateur performer. (Also possibly mentioned as J.D. Disant)
Contribution to South African theatre
A J.D. Disant was apparently involved with The French Company of C.M. Villet in 1809, and a D. Disant is listed as a member of C.E. Boniface's society, Honi Soit qui Mal y Pense, for whom he appeared in older roles as "De Graaf Eduard van Fersen" in De Vrouw met Twee Mannen by René Pixérecourt and "Sir James Elliot" in The Liar by Samuel Foote on 15 October, 1825.
