Patti Slavin

Patti Slavin (19**-2016) is a South African costume and set designer.

Biography

Born Patricia Doris Slavin, but best known professionally as Patti Slavin, though she also credited as Patricia Slavin.

In 1995 she completed an MA degree at the University of Natal, Durban with an unpublished thesis on A scenographic approach to Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare: an investigation into the artistic, aesthetic and practical considerations in performance with specific reference to selected productions.

She died on 13 March in London.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She worked as a designer for PACT, NAPAC and the Playhouse Company.

Designs include Kinkels innie Kabel (PACT); Carmen[1] (Playhouse Company, 1996), 1979)
