(KATS) is a theatrical and arts society in Kempton Park, South Africa.

Founding and early history
Originally founded in 1997 as the Belltower Players, performing at the Belltower Cultural Centre , and affiliated to the Kempton Music and Operetta Society.  The founding members were  Ken Leeder, Gys de Beer, and Heather Mann, with Agatha Ikking and Maureen Croston  joining subsequently.

The group began with performances of several one-act plays between 1997 and 1999, before turning to musical presentations, in the form of the soiree and the Travel Extravaganza.

In 2003 KATS moved from the Belltower Cultural Centre, to establish a new home at a venue at 25 Kempton Rd,  donated by the Ekurhuleni Metro. They were soon after joined by Moddram, who serve as the technical arm of the society, responsible for sound and lighting for all shows as well as maintenance of the venue.
